Counseling and Therapy

After an initial assessment, a course of psychotherapeutic action is mutually agreed upon. That action may be enhanced with:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a powerful method of psychotherapy developed in 1987 by psychologist, Dr. Francine Shapiro. EMDR has successfully helped over a million individuals of all ages around the world suffering from trauma ranging from catastrophic events to more common events such as negative body image, bullying, medical procedures and performance anxiety.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or “tapping” which is a type of Energy Psychology that entails tapping on meridians or energy centers in order to neutralize and be free of distressing physical and emotional pain. It is an efficient self care tool that can be used to calm food cravings, lift depression and curb anxiety, to name a few of its applications.
