“All I know is as we age the weight of our unsorted baggage becomes heavier … much heavier. With each passing year, the price of our refusal to do that sorting rises higher and higher.” ~ Bruce Springsteen
How do we stay safe and sane in the midst of a global pandemic? The level of collective and individual trauma is hard to fathom, and we are all learning new methods of coping, while the news changes daily. We all need support during this time, whether its negotiating the ins and outs of Zoom, parenting, trying to make sense of our political situation, or accepting the inevitability of aging. While challenges such as these can help us to learn and grow and become stronger, it may also seem like too much to handle. When this happens, ones quality of life and ability to grow is diminished, and can result in anxiety, sleep issues and depression. If this is true for you or for someone you love, it may be time to seek professional help.
Effective and lasting solutions to trauma, depression, and anxiety are available, using non-invasive and proven techniques including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, (EMDR) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, (CBT-I) and Emotional Freedom Technique, (EFT).
There is a minimal waiting time to be seen and I take Blue Cross Blue Shield, PPO.
